St Cronan?s Association CLG provides a wide range of high-quality
day supports for people with an intellectual disability and autism
throughout Roscrea, Birr, Templemore, Newport & Nenagh. Services
provided are day services, supported self-directed living programmes,
outreach services, community supports, educational, vocational and
rehabilitative training. The ethos of service provision is underpinned
by our Vision which is that all people with intellectual disability
and/or autism should be treated fairly and supported to achieve their
goals and true potential. Our work is underpinned by the principles of
Person Centeredness, Equality, Justice, Respect and Dignity.

TEMPORARY ROLES

We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic
individuals to?join our temporary panel of SUPPORT WORKERS AND CARE
WORKERS for adhoc shifts as and when required. This will be primarily
in the evening and weekend.

Candidates must be highly motivated, creative and experienced, with a
passion for providing person centred care and support.

SUPPORT WORKER

The Support Worker will support people with disabilities availing of
our day services to achieve their goals and dreams. In doing so, the
support worker will care for, protect, advocate for and support
service users, individually or in groups, in conjunction with the
wider staff team and other relevant agencies. The Support Worker will
contribute to the person centred planning process to identify, develop
and evaluate individualised and/or group programmes of service
delivery, in association with service users and their wider circles of
support. These programmes will be based on identified need and will be
delivered through day-to-day shared life experiences. Within the day
service setting, the Support Worker will work as part of a team to
provide a safe, caring environment with the primary aim of providing
interventions to support people with disabilities to live and/or
integrate as independently as possible with the community.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

* Minimum?QQI?Level 7/8 or higher Healthcare, Allied Healthcare?or
Social Care Degree or working towards the same
* Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities in a
day service setting
* Experience of report writing, developing and facilitating person
centred plans
* Understanding of New Directions
* A full Clean Drivers? Licence

CARE WORKER

The care worker will provide compassionate, person-centred care and
support to older adults with disabilities. The care worker will
support the implementation of person centred plans. This may include
assistance with activities of daily living as necessary, supporting
people with their mobility and delivery of a programme for older
people that may include reminiscence work, table top activities and
chair based exercise etc.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

* Minimum QQI / FETAC Level 5
* Previous experience in a caring environment, ideally supporting
people with an intellectual disability and experience in dementia care
would be desirable
* A full clean driving licence
